My eldest sister, brother and aunt are so terrible at making financial decisions. My aunt spends all of her money on lottery tickets. My brother spends his money on stupid things and my sister on her boyfriend.

Heres a good tips I found long ago:
"If you are thinking about buying something expensive, wait a few months, and see if you still want it. Then you will know your answer."
– Sena(I think, don't quote me on that).

My parents always encouraged me to save my money since Primary school, I was pretty good at it too. Sometimes I wouldn't spend anything at the canteen just to save my money, I was on a roll even through secondary school. At this point I literally had full blown stacks in my safe, that's how much I've been saving up until that point but then all of a sudden in my final years of secondary school and after graduation it all went downhill and as you might expect it got even worse with covid. Since last year I'm starting again from scratch basically. I'm building my stacks back up VERY VERY slowly but surely. My lesson? Save all or at least most of your money AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. Yes it wouldn't hurt to spoil yourself from time to time but make sure you purchase wisely or it'll come back to bite you

When I get my own credit card with a credit limit, I'll save up and pay it off first before I even spend it on anything

When people have $100K+ on student debt on a useless degree, but still manage to order uber eats every night, get starbucks every morning, and drive a junk luxury car that breaks down every month

I worked in a mobile company once, and we offered to rent the phones so you could get a new phone each year or buy the one you are renting at the end of the rent year, but most people would change this rented phone the moment there was a new generation, never ending cycle. It was basically buying a new phone every year. Without ever having the opportunity to make some extra money by selling the old one.

Mine was buying all sorts of collectible merchandises, i pre-ordered by paying half, and the rest payment will be noticed when the item released

I lost track of how many merchandise i ordered, and i was pretty laid back since i was getting allowance monthly i thought i can pay for those anyway..
And then pandemic came.. I had to go home, and of course i don't need allowance here but i still have some items that are not fully paid yet

If you love collecting anime merchandise, just a tip : if you're going to pre-order for that, make sure to do full payment in the beginning
Saves you from bad decisions and impulsive buyings

2:24 2 things to never do shown here: 1, financing a car, it's probably the easiest way banks make people their slave. 2, buying a Maserati brand new, 180 grand for a technology lacking car slower than a 30-45 grand mustang, literally, mustang gt 0-60: 4.3 sec, Maserati mc stradale 0-60: 4.7 sec.

if one is gonna blow $1700 gambling, it would be better spent at the casino then on $20 lottery tickets. At least at the casino you might get free hotel room and a meal or two. imo

My rule is that just because you have enough money for something, doesn't mean you can really afford it.

the people at 2:16 also shouldn't have had kids if they think food and keeping people fed is 2nd to their smoking habits. they are not going to have fun when their kids choose their future partners over them if they don't pick up their shit and put it together.

People who are on welfare and food stamps and still wasting $8 a pack PER DAY on cigarettes. Most people get about $198 in food stamps. If they spent $8 per day on food, they would have $42 more per month for food and being tobacco-free is so much better for your health, reducing what medicaid will need to spend on treatments.
Am I the @hole because I think people living on charity should not be allowed to waste money on tobacco products?
